18 Week Support subscribes to achieving the highest standards of clinical and corporate governance.
As a CQC registered organisation, we are constantly on the look-out for ways in which we can improve the quality of care being provided by our clinical teams. This is underpinned by having Clinical Leads in all specialities that are nationally recognised experts.
All Clinical and Nursing Leads are full members of the 18 Week Support Governance Committee. The committee meets regularly and promotes learning and development across the whole organisation.
Our service for NHS Trusts extends beyond the provision of clinical staff. It includes the sharing of information around ways in which services can be improved for patients on an on-going basis.
In addition, our governance arrangements incorporate feedback from patient and hospital staff about the service being offered via 18 Week Support’s team. These are routinely reported back to the Trust which has commissioned the service. Recent examples of comments from patients and managers have included:
