Senior Management Team
The Senior Managers at 18 Week Support, together with the Advisory Panel, are responsible for the quality of clinical services we provide to UK NHS Trusts.
They work closely with the Clinical Leads (the Lead Consultant and the Lead Nurse Specialist) in the medical specialties we cover:

- Oral Surgery
- Respiratory Medicine

Dr Conal PerrettCEO & Founder
Conal is responsible for the Company’s vision, strategy, business ethics and culture. As a Consultant Dermatologist & Dermatological Surgeon at University College London Hospitals NHS Trust (UCLH), he is the Lead Clinician for skin cancer. Conal also sits on the London Cancer Skin Pathway Board where he is the Lead for Mohs Micrographic Surgery and also the Board of the British Society for Skin Care in Immunocompromised Individuals (BSSCII). He is also an alumnus of Goldman Sachs, the global investment bank.
Mr Alexander ChilversOperations Director / Co-Founder
Alexander is the Operations Director and Co-Founder of 18 Week Support. Alexander oversees all aspects of the business with a focus on Operations and Business Development. Alexander has a broad range of experience working in both the NHS and Private sector. Alexander has worked within the Health care industry for 8 years, with 4 years at Board Level. Alexander has held posts at the Department of Health, NHS Foundation Trusts and start-up Health care providers. Alexander has extensive experience in service implementation for a wide range services.
Ms Nicola EllisHead of Clinical Services / Gastroenterology Nurse Lead
Nicola comes to the role with a very unique skill set, gleaned from years of clinical experience. After studying Biomedical Science, Nicola worked in the Biochemistry department at the Royal London Hospital. She then decided to train as a Nurse, and has been practicing for over 12 years. Her nursing experience includes Urology, Renal, Gerontology and Gastroenterology with band 7 roles as a Diabetes Clinical Nurse Specialist and more recently as Endoscopy Lead. Nicola has vast experience with NHS waiting lists and has worked on waiting list initiatives for many Trusts across the UK.
Mr Richard BanyardGovernance & Commercial Lead
Richard has extensive operational, managerial and commissioning experience at all levels in the NHS, in the private Health care sector in the UK as well as overseas. This includes more than 30 years in the NHS, with 14 years at Board level including Chief Executive and other NHS Director posts. He is also a qualified Further Education teacher and has headed up a part-time Foundation Degree programme in Health Services Management at Hull College for local NHS staff.
Mr Mike FosterBusiness Advisor
Mike is a highly experienced and influential Board Director with an extensive background both in the NHS and in the area of public/private sector JV partnerships. His most recent NHS post was Deputy Chief Executive, and prior to that Finance Director, for University College London Hospitals, one of the largest, complex and most successful Foundation Trusts across the NHS. In all, he has been at UCLH since 2003, and prior to that he developed his career in a number of Director positions in other provider and Health Authority organisations within, and outside, London initially in the South West of England. Mike is a qualified Accountant (FCMA) by profession, and has in recent years established and managed his own successful consultancy business.
James Pavett-DownerGeneral Manager
James joined 18 Week Support as General Manager, after almost 10 years working within the NHS. James’ previous experience within acute London Trusts is broad, inlcuding senior operational management roles within a number of specialities – Cardiology, Vascular, Trauma and Orthopaedics, Plastics, Emergency Medicine and Theatres. His experience of managing waiting lists gives him a good understanding of the challenges NHS trusts face, and in his role as General Manager at 18 Week Support, he oversees the operational delivery of our contracts.
