General Surgery

Mr Charles Imber is the Consultant Hepatobiliary Pancreatic Surgeon at the Royal Free Hampstead NHS Trust and the University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH). He is also Clinical Lead in Liver Transplantation at the Royal Free Hospital in London, where he performs liver transplant surgery as well as HPB surgery. He is also Consultant Surgeon at The Princess Grace Hospital. He is a member of the London Sarcoma service based at UCH and in charge of the National Organ Retrieval Service (NORS) for the North London region. He performed the first robotic liver resection and the first robotic pancreatic resections in the UK successfully and is a pioneer in this form of minimally invasive complex abdominal surgery.

Lisa has a vast amount of endoscopy experience, specialising in 2008, and she has worked as an Endoscopy Lead Nurse since 2017 delivering insourcing support to many NHS Trusts. Lisa has recently left the NHS after 23 years of nursing experience including her position as a senior sister at Salisbury District Hospital where she managed a four roomed Endoscopy Unit. Lisa has contributed and implemented several specialist services within her unit, whilst continuing to play a pivotal role in ensuring the unit maintains its JAG accreditation over the last 10 years.

Most recently Lisa has accepted the position of Nurse Assessor with the JAG (Joint Advisory Group) further promoting and ensuring patient safety in Endoscopy.
