Urology

Over the last few years, Urology referrals have increased by 80%, mainly due to a number of men’s health initiatives, the availability of better assessment and diagnosis, and increased patient expectation. In addition, our ageing population is increasing the workload, with prostate cancer particularly common in older men. A higher rate of detection is a positive. But this often leaves urology services struggling to cope and patients left on waiting lists for outpatient services.

What we do

Reduce waiting list in your trust

Our specialist Urology team works in urology departments across the UK provides services covering the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the kidneys, ureters, bladder, prostate and male reproductive organs.

We’re able to make full use of the resources available, including specialist equipment and theatres, which would otherwise sit unused when staffing is constrained. By insourcing urology specialists from 18 Week Support, we can help you meet the rising demand for urology services, reduce RTT waiting times and ensure your waiting list backlog is cleared.
